What Do You Really Understand By the Words Spirit, Spiritual and Spirituality? Who Is A Spiritual Personality?

For a majority of people the word spirit and its derivatives arise from various philosophical and religious concepts and give abstract meanings rather than indicating any thing real.

One dictionary gives the meaning of the word spirit as ' the vital principle or animating force within living things.

Another defines it as: a fundamental emotional and activating principle determining once's character. Alcoholic beverages are known as mild intoxication agents which cause changes in emotional and other character changes in people. For that reason, such beverages are called spirits. But these are not the only agents or principles that determine one's character and emotions!

Another meaning as defined tells like this: Any incorporeal (without material form) super natural being that can become visible or audible to human beings.

All these meanings have taken shape due to observations, experiences and analysis by intelligent and curious humans over the centuries. These conclusions are essentially assumptions because, these terms describe some conditions that humans can not directly prove as existing. They are beyond ordinary human comprehension!

Spiritual and spirituality are words commonly linked to human religions. In fact religions are more concerned with these words. There are also some men and women who are individually concerned with their spirituality and spiritual development without any religion coming into picture.

Many people do meditation, prayers and religious rituals for their spiritual growth and spiritual salvation.

Many believe that there is a spiritual part within every human which is called the 'soul' and the soul needs to be salvaged from either destruction or loitering around aimlessly after their bodies become dead and lifeless. 

Spirituality for them is the effort for salvaging the soul. The efforts could be meditation, yoga, prayers to God or gods, pooja, doing good deeds, offering to temples, churches and other places of worships and doing various other religious rituals and practices.

Some people believe in believing God essential for soul salvation. Atheists cannot salvage their souls, they claim. How can any one try to salvage some thing that they do not believe as existing?

For that matter, even God is presumed to exist in the spiritual realms, beyond the direct perception capacity of humans. Therefore, no one can prove or disprove the existence of God.

Same is with all things that are termed as spiritual.

But I have come to the conclusion that the word spirit is not merely arising out of any religious or philosophical hypothesis.

Spirit is some thing real. God is spirit and God is real.

So also is the case with all existences that are spiritual.

Modern science defines matter and energy and the possibility of their inter conversions. Matter can become material energies and material energies can transform to matter.

The sum total of matter and energy remains same while they happen to transform from one state to the other. Such inter conversions happen under certain specified conditions.

The famous Einstein's equation says that material energy equals the product of mass of material and the square of the velocity of light.

Yet we do not find all material or energies inter converting this way, except a few of the nuclear materials.

Anyway, matter and energy including all energy radiations are essentially forms of material energy. Matter is stored material energy while light, heat, electricity, etc are material energy in transit.

But what is this matter? Matter is nothing but a conglomerate of atoms arranged in various patterns.

But what are atoms?

Atoms are just dynamic groupings of just three fundamental particles, electrons, neutrons and protons, the smallest being the electrons.

But what happens when these electrons are further dissected? Though such a dissection is not very easy, our present day scientists have succeeded in doing that to some extent.

So, electrons also can be peeled off to a final naught. It is as if you peel the onion to come to a naught in the end.

In other words, electrons also unwind to some invisible energy. To put it differently, we can say that electrons are made up of minute energy concentrations comprising of energy that we are not familiar with. Let us call this energy concentrates as the 'God's particles' that build up the electrons.

Now these God's particles are the first form of matter or the most fundamental particle in the material energy realm. They are the ultimate result of our search for the most fundamental material particle. They are the 'ultimatons'!

Now, these ultimatons are to be made up of some thing. Some energy or force concentrate in some other precedent form that we are not familiar with.

And that energy is the spiritual energy. A real energy that is primordial to our material energy. You could have identified it with some other name as well. Perhaps our future scientists would call it in some other way suiting to their scientific method of nomenclature.

But this spiritual energy-or whatever you like to call it- is the original and most fundamental energy of the universe.

Since we are ignorant about it, some of our present day scientists call it the dark energy. I don't like that nomenclature. I prefer it to be called the spiritual energy. This energy is the predominant energy in the vast universe. It is more than 95% of all the energies of the universe. Our material energy is just about 5 % of the total universe energy.

Spiritual energy is the source of material energy and it existed even before material energy (both matter and its derivative energies) formed. The existence of spiritual energy cannot be directly perceived by those existing in a subordinate energy realm such as we humans.

Just as we, humans who exist in material energy realms are real, the spiritual energy realm is also real. Perhaps, more realistic because it is our source of existence and it is the major part of the universe.

Since our ultimate source of existence is derived from spiritual energy, we cannot perceive it with out physical sensory systems.

Material or physical senses are for matter and energy in the material realm. To sense, the spiritual energy we need some spiritual energy enabled tools or mechanisms.

In reality such tools or mechanisms exist within the human brain in a very limited manner. As brain ability is in varying degrees, the capacity to comprehend spiritual energy realms also exist in varying degrees in humans. Some have more ability while some have negligible.

God is the super personality and the living source that existed concurrently with the spiritual energy of the universe.

God is the super mind that kept acting over the spiritual energies. This supreme mind over spiritual energy caused the never ending creative processes of the universe.

Life is the dynamic feature that resulted and originally vested with God.

Life, personality , mind and the infinite spiritual energy that originally vested with God began to get distributed by the act of God resulting in the creation of innumerable spirit beings, spiritual energy abodes and later the material energy realms and the material beings.

It is an infinite act of an infinite power and hence cannot be comprehended by finite lower order creations fully.

Our inability to comprehend is not any logical reason for us to discard some thing very much in existence as non-existent.

That is simply foolish for any intelligent mind.

To conclude, spiritual energy realm is the source for the material energy realm. Material energy universe is a subset of the spiritual energy universe. 

Just as there are living beings in material energy realm, there are spirit beings in the spiritual energy realm.

Just as material energy and beings are real, spirit energy and spirit beings are also real. Perhaps the latter is more real than the former.

Intelligent living beings of numerous kinds  exist in the spiritual energy realm. Except God, all other spirit beings have an origin, but the majority of them do not necessarily have an end.

God is the Supreme Mind and Personality existing in the spiritual energy realm who does not have an origin or an end.

Only spirit beings can live everlastingly. They are essentially immortals so long as they do not violate the infallible laws of the Supreme Life Source.

Intelligent living beings also are numerous in the material energy realm as well. But all of them have an origin and an end. They are finite. Since they are finite, they are inherently not perfect in all matters.

Viewing in this manner, it could well be deduced that spiritual energy realm is superior to the material energy realm. Extending that logic further, we may deduce that spiritual living beings are superior to material living beings.

Matter and material energy are nothing but intelligent and complex, manipulative formations out of spiritual energy carried out by superior mind or minds that exist in the spiritual realms.

If matter is real, then spirit is also real. If there is no spiritual energy, there no material energy!

Formation and reversion of matter and material energies to and from spiritual energies could then be possible under universal techniques as framed by the Original Mind.

Transformation of lower personalities to higher levels and also from higher to lower could sometimes be possible!

The options and opportunities are tremendous!

And that is the beauty and the challenge that this vast universe poses before all intelligent personalities, superior or inferior, that happen to be in it!

How Do Our Minds Work? Can Our Neuroscientists Explain the Mechanism of Our Minds?

Even though we may consider the present era as the age of science and technology, there are so many mysteries in our world that are yet incomprehensible to even the scientists.

One of the greatest mysteries that keep our scientists wondering is the mechanism of the human mind. Mind mechanism is still an unsolved mystery even when we have our neurosciences pretty well advanced in unfolding much of the anatomy and functions of the brain and the nervous system.

Scientists have been researching to learn and understand more about the mysteries of the brain for quite some time. They have found many interesting things about our brain functioning. These are some scientific observations on the functional mechanisms of the brains of human beings, based on several scientific experiments done by several scientists and doctors.

Those of the readers who are not very clear about the human anatomy and physiology, it is a good idea to refresh their basic concepts using this mayoclinic slideshow. 

'Understanding Human Behaviour'- written by Late Prof James V McConnell was one of the best books that I had read long ago which explained the brain functions and human behavior aspects in a lucid manner. 

As is the case with all sciences and technologies, there have been a knowledge explosion in the field of neurosciences as well happening for the past several decades. Yet, our understanding about the mechanism of the mind and how exactly it works is very limited.

This difficulty, in my opinion, is due to the limitation of our scientists and present day sciences to transcend beyond the material phenomena. In other words, our sciences and scientific methods are incapable of devising methods of experimentation or in making scientific observations on non material phenomena. Therefore, there is a big reluctance by our present day science to accept non-material realities.

I am not denying the fact that many of the highly intelligent scientific thinkers of the present day are more and more compelled to believe in the existence of the huge invisible and unrecognized energy in the whole of the universe. Perhaps that has led them to initiate the most expensive scientific explorations in human history in the recent past searching for what the media prefer to call as the 'god's particles'. The conclusions are reportedly positive. 

Thus, the existence of the invisible source of energy from which all material energy forms (matter, light, heat, electromagnetic radiations, etc) originate is becoming a more and more acceptable fact.

Our scientists have not yet officially named this huge source of invisible and unrecognized energy source of the universe. But many of them began to call it as the dark energy and dark matter.

But dark energy and dark matter are not going to be the end of our explorations. 

When my book of life guidance (yes, the Urantia Book-Click Here for more information!), written by real intelligent personalities who exist in the original realm of matter and energy, is abundant with much revealed information about the realities of the invisible and unrecognized realms of life, why should I rely or wait for any grass root explorations of the present day sciences?

I would have waited had I not known the limitations of science and the scientists in this context. That is because, matter is derived from some thing else and we humans are made of matter. Therefore, we can not go backward to cross the boundaries of our material limits!

At that point comes the scientific tool of theories and postulates. My book is a great source for scientists to do their researches for some more time!

Now coming back to the issue of the mind mechanism. As our scientists keep exploring the hardware of the brain, the neurons and their functions in micro and macro levels to unfold the mysteries, I explored the revealed knowledge of my book of life guidance. Fortunately, I found answers about the mind mechanism of human beings that could satisfy the curiosity of my own mind.

Let me tell you in brief what the super human authors of my favorite book tell about the mechanism of the mind. It is very elaborate, but I would try making it brief:

To understand the functions of the mind, the first and foremost requirement is to know about the massive energy realm that exist above our material energy realm and some understanding about the reality of God and His universe administration.

In the beginning, even before matter and material space existed, there existed only one reality. And that reality contained the source of everything that we now know- as energy, matter and mind in their original form in the sole and unique existence that we may call by any name as the First Source, Universal Father God, etc. 

This eternal energy, matter and mind could be given the nomenclature as the spiritual energy, spiritual matter and spiritual mind. The sole eternal spiritual mind of the Universal Father working over the spiritual matter and energy caused the creation of the subordinate spiritual personalities and their combined acts later created the spiritual worlds and innumerable spiritual personalities.

Then began the process of creation of the material universes containing physical matter, physical energies and living beings in the physical energy realm by the coordinated acts of several subordinate spiritual personalities delegated with mind power by the Universal Father God, working in accordance with certain universal laws given to them by the First Source.

Time and space as recognizable to material living beings began when the creative act of physical energy and matter began under the mind supervision and control of innumerable spiritual beings. Thus, the formation of the material universe as we now know is as a result of both intelligent minds (of spiritual personalities) and also in accordance with certain predetermined universal laws of the First Source.

As an analogy to make this thing more clear, I would give an example. Suppose that you have some explosive chemical mixture that you want to use to make a blast to disintegrate the rock. You make the chemical mixture and go for blasting it in accordance with the knowledge that you have. Here your mind processes and applies some chemical laws, some experience and finally act to make the blast. Once the blast takes place, there are few things that are not in your control and there are several things that are in your control. Thus your mind acts and coordinates all these to get the desired results!

The universal laws are fully under the control of the First Source who made those laws. The mind source is also with the First Source. But in the case of the mind, the First Source has distributed it applying certain laws made by Him for that delegation.

Thus both mind and matter are originating from the First Source, but distributed under differing rules and laws. The mind has certain degrees of freedom to act in accordance with the rules of delegation and its capacity and freedom vary in different living personalities.

The neurons are the hardware for intelligence in living beings. In higher animals, the intelligence and the degrees of freedom to act independently is more as compared to the lower level life forms. In higher animals and in humans the intelligence process center is the complex neurotic biologic hardware called the brain.

While animals have a brain with some intelligence and independent mind functions essential for their living, humans are provided with brains that have not only capabilities for independent living, but also some other special mind capacities. The latter mind abilities and capacities differentiate humans from animals!

The human brain has both internal and external capacities for mind functioning. However, these capacities differ from person to person in accordance with their natural development of the brain and also with genetic factors of development. There are in fact several factors that determine the mind capabilities of each and every human being. Over and above there are several factors that determine certain personality traits of humans that determine the manner in which the mind capabilities are employed by the individuals.

The human brain has most of the intelligence and mind capacity for sustaining life just as it is with the inferior animals. These mind capacities are built in and are essential for sustaining material life.

But over and above, the human brain has certain other mind enhancing capacity as compared to the animals. The human brain has the capacity to be receptive to not only material energy communications but also to certain spiritual energy communication circuits of the universe. We know that the human brain responds and processes vision, sound, smell, pressure, taste, etc which are all material electromagnetic, chemical, gravitational, electrical or similar other signals. But it also has the capacity to receive spiritual energy signals without we ever directly getting conscious of it.

In other words, all fully developed human brain hardware can receive and accommodate an independent mind fraction directly emanating from the First Source or the Universal Father God. This mind fraction that resides within an able bodied human brain is called the Thought Adjuster (TA). It is a mysterious monitor of the human mind independent of the human individual's own material mind getting developed within the brain . Hence, the TA may also be called a Mystery Monitor. It is a spiritual entity and not a material energy or system. But it definitely needs the biologic human brain for its function. It would not be active if the human brain is defective or inferior.

The TA is the one which gives all well developed humans the ability to know what is good and what is bad. The TA is spiritual and is directly from God. Material investigations cannot determine its presence because it is not anything composed of any physical energy or material. 

But every human knows its presence within him or her to some extent. It is this presence that produces the guilt consciousness when humans do such things that they are not supposed to do. TA is the divine part or the godly part of humans that is mysteriously residing within the human brains and its presence makes the human mind potentially divine, but not necessarily divine! A human being whose self mind fall in line with the leading of the spiritual mind that is within him or her becomes aligned to God and is bound to become a good person. The more such persons on earth, the more earth becomes a divinely preferred place!

These TAs being from the spiritual realms of the Universe, could transact with external spiritual beings independently without the human material mind being aware of it. However, some individuals may develop some capabilities to know and get a glimpse of such transactions of the spiritual mind fraction that resides within them. What some human mind researchers recognize as clairvoyance or extra sensory perception (ESP) could be to some extent due to this phenomena. 

Besides this independent spiritual mind fraction that is residing in most human brains, there exist some other factors that add some influences on the material mind functions of the humans. There exist some universal spiritual communication circuits or spiritual waves to which humans brains respond in varying degrees. They are like the radio or electromagnetic communication waves. Like the electromagnetic waves, the spiritual communication waves are also invisible. But the electromagnetic waves are capable of creating some responses in specially made hardware circuits. Hence, humans can know, measure, create or use them. But spiritual communication waves do not respond to most material things. However, specially developed biologic brains of humans can be responsive to these spiritual energy circuits that pervade the space around us.

There exist a system in the material universe that sends out certain special spiritual waves to facilitate humans in some of their mind abilities with the help of their brains. These spiritual energy lines help people to develop mind abilities for certain things which are unique to humans and not to animals. These special mind abilities of humans greatly enhance his thought processes with regard to the following:

1. The ability for wisdom
2. The desire and ability to worship (God)
3. The desire and ability for justice
4. The desire for knowledge
5. The desire for courage (adventure)
6. The ability for understanding deeper meanings
7. The ability for intuitive and quick perception

These seven abilities and desires of the human mind are special and the animals lack these. Again these mind capacities of humans exist in varying degrees. All humans do not develop the brain capacity for these mind functions equally. These are developed and nurtured due to the existence of certain spiritual energy systems that emanate from certain spiritual sources of the universe.

Just as we have better hardware systems for our computers, our biologic brain systems may also be superior or inferior when compared to each other. Accordingly, their receptive powers to the spiritual circuits would also be different. 

Our human minds function similar to the intelligent minds that exist in the spiritual worlds and all mind mechanisms are patterned in line with the supreme mind of the First Source, but with decreasing capacities. The more a subordinate living being is away from the First Source, the less would be its mind capacity. Human beings are the farthest intelligent beings from the First Source. Hence we, humans of earth, are a type of intelligent beings with the least mind capacities, as compared to all other intelligent beings that exist in the universe. But we are also provided with some mind enhancement potentials that enable us to become like the superior ones when we advance in experience and knowledge. 

All intelligent living beings can also gain some mind enhancing capabilities from the First Source of Mind or from some other subordinate divine sources and enhance their thought processes where by enhancing knowledge and other mind capacities. This is similar to what our own human minds have invented in recent times, called the cloud computing! Human minds are occasionally fed with novel ideas from the superior universal spiritual mind sources! This kind of communications enable humans to progress materially and achieve the highest possible material developments. Once they achieve the highest material development, their minds would eventually become free to transcend material thoughts to engage in thoughts of the more advanced spiritual existence that lay ahead! 

Even when humans are on earth, they have varying capacities of mind that make them unequal with regard to mind capacities.

But such mind superiority of a person alone does not give a man or a woman any special divine preference. A person with superior mind capacity who is fully willing to embrace the divine qualities of worship (love towards God), compassion (considerate of his fellow beings) , justice (impartiality) and creativity (work, knowledge, curiosity, progress) is the one who gains divine preference.

Divine preference does not ensure material gains. But divine preference always ensure a human being to advance indefinitely to become superior intelligent beings similar to those that exist in the spiritual realms of the universe. It is a well known fact known to the scientists now- no matter can cross the material boundaries in material form. Humans can, and are empowered to do that in non material (spiritual) form, provided they prove their worth while living their short material life on earth.

Mind is the tool or the aid with which they achieve it. Mind is the aid that, with the help of the divine TA, would enable some of the humans to transcend beyond the borders of the material realm of the universe. 

Mind is also the tool by which some humans acquire in-destructive and ever progressive personality features that retain their respective identities intact as they keep progressing to higher abilities and responsibilities in the universe. It is a complex process, yet relatively simple to achieve if the individual so desire earnestly.  

Some Random Thoughts about Food, Living, Intelligence and Spiritual Wisdom !

The internet space has lot of information on foodstuffs of various kinds. Many sites are dedicated to cooking and healthy eating habits. Recipes of various kinds could be obtained by searching the net. But, yet I find there is some need for a comprehensive coverage of these raw food items at one place especially to aid those in India who use Hindi, Malayalam or English for their day to day communications.

For survival human beings need energy. Energy is obtained from foods that contain carbohydrates, such as starch, sugars, glucose and the like. Energy value of a food item is measured in terms of calories. Additionally they need some other foods that provide some other essential ingredients for various purposes and processes of their living bodies. Ideally the food taken by human beings should contain the following:

1. Carbohydrates (starch, sugar, glucose) and fats (oils, meat) for energy.

2. Proteins for body growth, cell repair and upkeep.

3. Roughage consisting mainly of dietary fibers which are not absorbed by the body, but are essential for smooth movement of food through the 8 m long alimentary canal aiding digestion and waste elimination.
4. Minerals which are compounds of metals and non-metals found in various foods which are required in low quantities for the body to synthesize various complex compounds for innumerable body functions.
5. Vitamins, which are complex compounds
6.Water, the main constituent of body cells and blood and the medium for expulsion of unwanted soluble wastes materials.
7. Ingredients that enhances taste, smell and color of food.

People have many common features and at the same time are different in many other features. So, eating habits, likes and dislikes and the manner in which food is digested, absorbed and utilized by the body all differ from person to person.

While statistical results published by various kinds of researchers may be useful for enriching our general knowledge in food and food related benefits and problems, it is foolishness to blindly believe such data as universal truths.

Enjoying a good or tasty food is not a sin. But living only for food indulgence is nothing less than a sin.

How much one should eat? And how often? It is foolishness to follow some rules always. If you follow rules for every thing, you degrade yourself as a robot. You degrade your human existence to that of a humanoid.

It is better that you make wise decisions based on your own judgments. After all why do you have that huge brain with all those intelligence if you are not to use it ?

At the same time, it is not a good idea to waste your time always thinking about food to take those wise decisions. There are much more important things in this life than food.

Human life is a mixture of many things. It involves survival, material existence, creativity, friendship and fellowship, discharge of duties and responsibilities and a desire to find the real force behind life whom we sometimes call as God. The latter desire when nurtured properly progresses towards an understanding towards the purpose of life. A man or woman who is realizing the purpose of life has progressed towards what is known as spirituality.

How to progress from material well being to spiritual well being? Is it essential?

Again, your own assessment is the best guide. You have all the inherent faculties and abilities for that judgement.

Is it possible for life to sustain without taking food?

Logically speaking, it should be possible. Food is required as an energy source for us because our body hardware is presently designed in that manner. Those who have designed it that way, logically should have known the methods of designing it in some other way as well.

For example, look at the plants. They are living. They take energy from sunlight and even convert the excess light energy as food for those living beings of the animal kingdom.

The divine designers of plants and animals have the knowledge to do it.

Then, why did they not give us that ability?

I think it is foolishness to question the higher intellectual wisdom of the divine designers of life.

Perhaps, they might disclose those secrets to us some appropriate time.

I am fortunate to learn some thing of the divine wisdom and I am truly amazed!

  

Some Self Test Questions to Check Your Maturity Status !

Now-a-days it is not difficult to find many tools to check one's intelligence quotient (IQ) and similar other personality traits. These are developed by those who study human psychology in a formal manner and do research on that topic.

Let me admit this thing first. I am not one with any formal training in psychology or human personality research. But I do have some ideas about those based on my self explorations and studies out of mere curiosity. That has been further augmented by my inquisitive reading and self study of the book about which I have written many times earlier.

All humans are alike in many features and are also dissimilar  in several other features. But each one of us have a unique personality that emerges out of our similarities and dissimilarities and perhaps many other qualities that are not normally comprehended. In other words, our personality is the reflective resultant of our inherent and acquired qualities.

Every human being, during his life time earns some experiential inputs which might add up to modify his or her  inherent personality. Similarly as humans progress in civilization, modifications and improvements do happen in the individuals of a generation. In general, every generation of human beings face an average improvement in overall personality. The overall personality of a human being is the sum total of his or her inherent physical, mental and spiritual abilities augmented by his or her experiences in these three fields.

The first thing needed in human development is the material development or biological development. Physical and mental abilities are included in this. The next part is the spiritual development which is essentially some thing which is connected with higher mind abilities. However, physiological or biological development  and spiritual developments do not necessarily go hand-in-hand. Biological maturity and spiritual maturity develop separately in us. While biological maturity gets almost gets fully completed, spiritual maturity may or may not be completed in a lifetime on earth!

But if we have to designate a person fully mature, both biological and spiritual maturity need to be considered together. So, by the word maturity, I mean both biological and spiritual aspects of human development taken together. Physical aspects again involves the development of the human body and normal intellect or brain function. Spiritual aspects involves the development of the super intellectual faculties that enable a person to comprehend certain truths that are not easily discerned by simple logic or reasoning.

While biological maturity is synonymous with body development and easily recognizable, that is not the case with spiritual development of the mind. Again, I would request my readers not to confuse with the words biological and spiritual. To make things a bit more clear, you may consider biological development as those involved with the physical growth of the body including that of the brain for making a person live and do his or her normal human activities of physical work, normal communication, courtship and intelligence for doing normal human activities. On the other hand, spiritual development is that which enable a person to comprehend extra ordinary truths such as philosophical truths and divine truths. These are truths which are not normally discernible by the ordinary faculties of physical mind and intellect.

For example, if I say that it is dark here, a biologically mature person might understand it as he or she perceives darkness from light or black from white. One whose intellect is more advanced might understand it in the manner which science has made him to understand as the presence or absence of certain wavelengths of visible light. But a person having spiritual development would be able to attribute more meanings to the same word which is difficult to understand by those who are only biologically mature. 

For living a good and a worthy life both material and spiritual capacities are required in some desirable degrees. A wonderful society would emerge when the individuals of the society are fully matured, both biologically and spiritually.

The problems of this world as we experience today are because of the fact that we humans are in varying degrees of maturity. As we are not all in the same level of maturity, it is difficult for one person to understand the other fully. As a result communication gaps do develop between individuals and among groups. These communication gaps generate conflicts which otherwise could have been avoided had all were matured fully.

It would be interesting to know about our maturity levels comprising of both biological and spiritual development aspects. 

Here are some questions that I have formulated to test your material and spiritual development status or in other words, your maturity status. It is a self test that any one can attempt by spending a few minutes.

There are 25 statements given below. All statements are to be examined by you as per your knowledge and conviction.

If you find the statement agreeable to you, you give it  4 marks. If you are unable to decide it as true or false, or not agreeable give it 0 marks. Then total out your marks. There are twenty five statements and if you have agreed to all, then you would get 25x4 = 100 marks. If you do not agree with any of these, you would get 25x0=0 marks. If you agree with some and disagree with some, then you get your total marks some thing between 0 and 100. 

So here are the statements:

1.  I consider my self physically normal.
2.  I like learning and I can read, write and speak at least one language reasonably well.
3.  I have some special skills and talents because God loves me more than others.
4.  I do face problems in life, yet this life is interesting and there are many opportunities.
5.  If I get power and money, it is okay if I use those for my own benefits and pleasures.
6.  I do some work and earn money for a comfortable living.
7.  I earn enough money and I am capable of making more.
8.  There is no use for working hard and making money if I am not able to enjoy its privileges.
9.  It is better to get some jackpot than working to make money.
10. If some one hurts me, it would pain me, but I would prefer pardoning than taking revenge.
11. I enjoy rest, humor and games; but I don't like to spend time only in these.
12. If I can afford, I will spend my time enjoying rest, games, adventure and such other things.
13. I believe in God and I do think about God often.
14. I think that I am a child of God and all around me are also children of the same God.
15. God is the creator of all, so God should be like a loving father to me and others.
16. If there are bad people, it is my duty to destroy them.
17. Violence is no solution for controlling violence.
18. This world could be better if the rich people distribute their money to the poor.
19. This world would be better if people have good reasoning and understanding capabilities.
20. It is a good thing if I respect those who are elders.
21. Intelligent and clever people would be able to solve all the problems of this world.
22. I don't find any reason to believe in the existence of an invisible God. 
23. I find reasons to believe in God and a possibility of our life continuing even after death.
24. There is some truth in all religions; but none of them may be perfectly right. 
25. Spiritual development involves learning of some special rituals and practices. 

Now to find out your development score you have to do this.

First find out the total score by finding out the number of  statements in the above that are agreeable to you. Suppose that it is 20. That means you have scored a total of  20x4 + 5x0 = 80 Marks.

Then find out how many green statements that are agreeable to you and find the green score. Suppose that you are agreeing to 8 green statements. Then your green score is 8x4 = 32. The maximum green score possible is 10x4=40.

Once you have the green score, you need to have your blue score next. If your total score is 80 and green score is 32, your blue score is 80-32 = 48. The maximum blue score you can have is 100-40=60. You can have both 0 or negative blue scores.

Now with the above scores it is possible to interpret your maturity level. Remember again that maturity here means your comprehensive maturity comprising of both physical and spiritual maturity aspects.
