ഞാൻ പലപ്പൊഴും ആലോചിക്കാറുണ്ട്. എന്തു കൊണ്ട് നമുക്ക് പരസ്പരം ബഹുമാനത്തോടെ, സ്നേഹത്തോടെ, കരുതലോടെ ജീവിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നില്ല?

എന്തു കൊണ്ട് സ്വന്തം വീടുകളിൽ ഭാര്യയും ഭർത്താവും തമ്മിൽ സ്വരച്ചേർച്ചയില്ല? മാതാപിതാക്കളും കുട്ടികളും തമ്മിൽ പോലും എന്തൊക്കെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ?

എന്തൊക്കെ രീതിയിൽ കൊല്ലാൻ പോലും മടിയില്ലാത്ത വൈരാഗ്യം, ശത്രുത?

ആർക്കും ഒരു ദോഷവും ചെയ്യാതെ ഇരുന്നാലും ചിലപ്പോൾ ചിലർ മെക്കിട്ടു കേറാൻ വന്നെന്നിരിക്കും. എന്താണിങ്ങനെ?

പാകിസ്താനിലെ മനുഷ്യരും നമ്മെ പോലെ അല്ലേ? ഗൾഫിലും അമേരിക്കയിലും ഒക്കെ ഇന്ത്യക്കാരും പാക്കിസ്താനികളും സൌഹാർദത്തിൽ ആണെങ്കിൽ പോലും പൊതുവായി രണ്ടു കൂട്ടരും ശത്രുക്കളായി കരുതാൻ എന്താണ് കാരണം?

ഞാനിത്രയും എഴുതിയതു കൊണ്ട് മുൻ പിൻ ആലോചിക്കാതെ എന്നെ ശത്രുവായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച്  ഇതു വായിക്കാൻ ഇടയുള്ള സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയായിൽ എന്നെ ചീത്ത വിളിക്കാൻ എന്‍റെ കൊച്ചു മക്കൾ പോലും ആകാൻ പ്രായമില്ലാത്ത കുട്ടികൾക്ക് മനസ്സിൽ തോന്നുന്നതും അതിൽ ചിലർ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നതും എന്തു കൊണ്ട്?

തെരുവു നായ്ക്കളും പന്നികളും മനുഷ്യജീവിതത്തിനു പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വാർത്തകൾ എന്നും വന്നിട്ടും നമ്മുടെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്കും മന്ത്രിമാർക്കും അതൊരു പ്രശ്നമാണെന്നും അതിനു ഉടൻ പ്രതിവിധി കാണണമെന്നും തോന്നാത്തത് എന്തു കൊണ്ടാണ്?

ഒരു സർക്കാർ ഓഫീസിൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ കാര്യം സാധിക്കാൻ പോയാൽ അതു അപ്പോൾ തന്നെ നടത്തി കൊടുക്കാൻ പറ്റുമെന്നിരിക്കിലും അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാതെ ആ ഓഫീസിൽ പല പ്രാവശ്യം പോയാലേ പറ്റൂ എന്ന രീതിയിൽ എന്തു കൊണ്ട് ആ നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടുകാർ തന്നെ ആയ സർക്കാർ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പെരുമാറുന്നു?

മാലിന്യം പൊതു വഴിയിലും മറ്റും വലിച്ചെറിയരുത് എന്നും അതു നമുക്ക് തന്നെ ദോഷം എന്നും അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും നമ്മളിൽ പലരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനു എന്താണു കാരണം?

അടി മേടിക്കാതെ തന്നെ സാമൂഹ്യനിയമങ്ങൾ പാലിക്കാൻ തക്ക ബുദ്ധിയുണ്ടെങ്കിലും മേടിച്ചാലേ പാലിക്കൂ എന്നവണ്ണം നമ്മളിൽ പലരും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതിനു എന്തെങ്കിലും കാരണം ഉണ്ടാവുമോ?

ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ പേര് വല്ലപ്പോഴും അങ്ങനെ ചില കൊച്ചു നിയമങ്ങൾ തെറ്റിക്കുന്നതു അവരെ തൂക്കി കൊല്ലാനും വെടി വയ്ക്കാനും കൈകാൽ വെട്ടാനും നിയമം ഇല്ലാത്തത് കൊണ്ടെന്നാണെന്ന് എന്തു കൊണ്ട് നമ്മളിൽ പലരും പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു? കാടൻ നിയമങ്ങൾ തന്നെ വേണമെന്ന് എന്തു കൊണ്ട് നമ്മളിൽ ചിലർ ആക്രോശിക്കുന്നു?

അങ്ങനെ കാടൻ നിയമം ഉള്ളിടത്തു ജീവിക്കാൻ പോയി കാടൻ നിയമത്തിന്റെ പിടിയിൽ പെട്ടു പോയ ബന്ധുക്കൾക്കു വേണ്ടി പിന്നെ കരയുന്നതും നമ്മൾ തന്നേ എന്നു ഓർക്കാത്തതു എന്തു കൊണ്ട്? അങ്ങനെ ചില നിയമ വ്യവസ്ഥകൾ കൊണ്ട് പണ്ട് നമ്മൾ കരഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്ന് എന്തേ നമ്മൾ പലരും ഓർക്കുന്നില്ല?

നമ്മുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വോട്ടിനു കെഞ്ചി ജയിച്ചു പോയ നമ്മുടെ തന്നേ പ്രതിനിധികൾ അതു കഴിഞ്ഞു നമുക്ക്  തന്നെ പാരയാകുന്ന നിയമങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതം തന്നേ പ്രശ്നത്തിൽ ആക്കാൻ വെമ്പുന്നത് എന്ത് കൊണ്ടെന്നു എന്നെങ്കിലും ആലോചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടാവുമോ?

നാട്ടിനു ഗുണമുള്ള എല്ലാത്തിനും ഉടക്കുണ്ടാക്കി കാലതാമസം വരുത്താൻ  സർക്കാർ ഓഫീസുകളിലും മറ്റും ഉദ്യോഗത്തിലും ഭരണത്തിലും ഇരിക്കാൻ അവസരം കിട്ടിയ നമ്മളുടെ തന്നെ നാട്ടുകാരും വീട്ടുകാരും ആയ ചിലർ എന്തു കൊണ്ട് വ്യഗ്രത കാട്ടുന്നു?

പള്ളിയെയും അമ്പലത്തെയും എന്തിനു ദൈവത്തെ തന്നെയും പേടിയില്ലാത്ത നമ്മളിൽ പലരും അതിന്റെയൊക്കെ അനാവശ്യകാര്യങ്ങൾക്ക് പോലും പണം കൈയയച്ച് കൊടുക്കയും  നിത്യവിർത്തിക്ക്  പണിപ്പെടുന്ന നമ്മുടെ തന്നെ ആ നാട്ടുകാരനോട് ഒരു രൂപയ്ക് പോലും വിലയും കൂലിയും പേശി കുറച്ച് കിട്ടിയതിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതിലെ ഔചിത്യം എന്തെന്നു എന്നെങ്കിലും ആലോചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ? 

ആട് പട്ടിയെന്ന് പലരും പറഞ്ഞാൽ നമ്മളിൽ പലരും അതു സമ്മതിക്കാനുള്ള മനസ്ഥിതിയിൽ ആകും എന്നതു കൊണ്ടല്ലേ നമ്മളിൽ തന്നെയുള്ള ചില വിദ്വാന്മാർ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രസംഗം ചെയ്തു നമ്മളെ അവരുടെ രീതിയിൽ ചിന്തിക്കാൻ മെരുക്കി എടുക്കുന്നത്?

അപ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ സാധാരണ ബുദ്ധി പലപ്പോഴും പ്രവർത്തിക്കാത്തത് എന്തു കൊണ്ടാണെന്ന് എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും ആലോചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

എന്താണ് ശരി എന്താണു തെറ്റ് എന്ന് പലപ്പോഴും നമ്മളിൽ പലർക്കും അറിയാൻ പറ്റുന്നില്ല എന്ന് നമുക്ക് തന്നെ തോന്നാറില്ലേ?

നമ്മൾ എല്ലാം ശരിയായി ചിന്തിക്കയും പ്രവർത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യം, നമ്മുടെ നാട് സ്വർഗ്ഗ തുല്യം ആയേനെ എന്ന് എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും മനസ്സിൽ തോന്നിയിട്ടില്ലേ?

നമ്മൾ ശരിയായി എന്നു കരുതുമ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ കൂടുള്ളവർ അതിനു നേർ വിപരീതം ആകുന്ന വിരോധാഭാസം കണ്ട് ഉള്ളിൽ കരയുകയൊ ദേഷ്യം വരുകയൊ ഒക്കെ എത്ര പ്രാവശ്യം അനുഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു! 

എന്തു കൊണ്ട്, എന്തു കൊണ്ട് ഇങ്ങനെ?

ആരോ കാണാമറയത്ത് ഇരുന്ന് നമ്മെ എല്ലാം കുരങ്ങു കളിപ്പിക്കയാണോ?

Jesus Christ, undoubtedly was the man who influenced the presently known human history to the highest level. He is also the living divine son of the Almighty God who is believed to be the sole savior of human kind by the billions of Christians now. Jesus is the central theme of the Holy Bible.

Jesus or Isa Nabi is also the most venerated prophet of Islam whose life story is well narrated in the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran asserts that Jesus in reality was a non human messenger of God who was born as a human in a very miraculous manner and gives more importance to his miraculous powers than his life as a powerless human being. The Quran strongly refutes Christian story of Jesus' death on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind and also the claim that Jesus is the only begotten son of the Almighty God. Muslims also strongly refute the Christian veneration of Jesus Christ as the second member of the Holy Trinity.

There are many other narrations that tell about this holy man of Jerusalem who was born in a manger, lived a short life of 33 years and crucified by the then Roman government for blasphemy as accused by religious elders of his own Hebrew community, some 2000 years ago.

He is the divine savior and God for his followers. There are many who refute his divinity. But all of them agree to one thing that he was indeed a simple, sinless human being.

But the written narrations in the Bible, the Quran and all other books that human authors of various times had written contain only short descriptions. What Jesus did during his childhood and adulthood are pretty unknown and unwritten.

Who was Jesus in reality? Was he divine? Was he an incarnation of God's divine son on earth? Was he a sacrificial lamb for pacifying an angry God? Was he just an angel who took the human form? Was he a historical personality or were all those stories about him just myths?

If he real what did he teach in reality? What was his real mission?

For nearly two thousand years we had no answers to all these questions other than what was narrated in the religious holy books of the Christians and the Muslims. Of course we also had many books and writing by several saints, religious scholars and historians.

But none of those were enough to answer the curiosity of a probing human mind. Several like me secretly wished to know more and perhaps more authentically.

And thankfully our wish came fulfilled half a century ago when the most marvelous book containing divinely revealed truths got published. I am thankfully indebted to God for making me find that book and read it. And it is the Urantia Book, my precious book of life guidance. And there now exist a minuscule group of curious fans of this book of truth revelation who spend some time reading, studying and discussing the various aspects of the revealed truths.

While we enjoy the benefits of our newly found divinely revealed truths, we also realize the hard truth that the majority of our human brothers and sisters do not yet have come to the privilege of knowing what we have known. We also realize the bitter truth that this majority in this world as on today do not have either the facility to get to know or  the broad-mindedness and intellectual capacity to understand the vast revealed knowledge that the Urantia Book contains.

Yet all of us, the fascinated and curious students and readers of the Urantia Book across the world agree to one thing- that it is the fourth part of the Urantia Book covering 'the Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ' is undoubtedly the best part for any one to start exploring the book.

This new book now published as 'the Untold Story of Jesus' is as a result of that realization by a few dedicated team of the Urantia Book Readers' Fellowship. It is no doubt the fourth part of the Urantia Book. But what is new in this new book is a much simpler and appealing introduction and beautiful colored illustrations. 

I am happy to mention here that this new publication is the effort and hard work of my friends-Mo Siegel, Mary Jo Garascia and Jim from the Urantia Book Reader community who are scholars of the book. This new book is essentially part-iv of the Urantia Book with much illustration and a more appealing print presentation.

The grace of the narration as covered in this book is something one should read and experience. The reader will no doubt feel the presence of Jesus Christ and that is something to be experienced.

It is a book that should be in the home library for all those book lovers.

Kerala Marthoma Christians-Time that they Learn What Real Social Service Is!

Marthoma Christians of Kerala are a break away group linked to the Eastern Orthodox Churches of India. (For more read: Christianity in India )

This separation and establishment of an independent church denomination named Mar Thoma Syrian Christian Church of Malabar (Malankara Marthoma Nasrani Sabha in Malayalam) happened nearly 200 years ago. How and why of that are not important to be discussed here. (More official information can be had from the official website of the Marthoma Church)

Before and during the period of independence of India way back in 1947, the Marthoma families used to be small time farmers, traders or farm workers or those from the lower income groups who toiled hard for a living. As in any community, it also had some rich families as well.

Christians in the erstwhile local kingdoms of south-west India now forming the Kerala state of India were a humble prayerful lot in general during those times. Besides being ambitious and adventurous they gave much importance in gaining literacy and education. Perhaps they got that inclination due to the efforts of the foreign Christian missionaries of pre-independence era.

India after independence was not a country with beds of roses.

Opportunities for a decent work or profession used to be rare especially in Kerala. However, several reasonably educated youngsters from Kerala Christian families were adventurous enough to try their fortunes in foreign countries. 

Thanks to the underdeveloped democracy and its incompetent governance, the Indian economy and its currency have been consistently weak as compared to many of the foreign nations where the Keralites sought employment. This helped such Keralites to bring foreign currency savings to India and gain several times more cash in India as compared to their country cousins doing similar or even superior jobs and professions back in India.

Unlike in other states of India, it had been the Kerala Christians who tried their lucks to gain valuable dollars in the beginning. This helped several Kerala Christian families to gain affluence within a comparatively short time span of three four decades.

Soon Kerala landscape saw dramatic changes in its landscape. The state witnessed continuous growth of mansion like houses in all forms of architecture throughout its length and breadth. Prices of land useful for construction of houses or commercial buildings shot up exorbitantly. As most of the working class sought jobs and vocations abroad, farm workers declined and agriculture became a non-lucrative profession in the state. As a result, farm land costs fell drastically.

India government with little knowledge for efficient management of economy added further help for migration of working class in large numbers from India to other countries. Only unfortunate people remained in India to work locally. As their Indian rupee incomes stood much lower than their foreign employed cousins, they envied the latter. Passion for quick money and material glories began to spread and corruption in all forms became all pervading in India.

The passion for quick wealth engulfed the Kerala Christians as a whole and Marthoma Christians are no exception. The Christian clergy too became irrevocably affected by the evils of richness!

As it stands today, several Christian churches-its people, its clergy and bishops are shamefully involved in various kinds of scandals and crimes. There are nuns, priests and bishops involved in sexual immorality, sex related crimes including murder, money laundering, group fights and litigation for control of church properties and acts of shameless manipulations for gaining lucrative positions in the church organizations. Church authorities demanding bribes for employment in church controlled institutions and for admissions in their educational institutions is nothing new now.

Hospitals bearing Christian names no more feel any remorse while they charge heavily and unjustifiably from hapless patients who go there for treatment.

The hand work of evil is no more any secret in the Christian churches and their institutions. If social media responses are any indication there exists a good majority of common people who are too arrogant and ruthlessly unchristian in their acts and attitudes. They are simply egoistic, vengeful and willing to take up violence or other evil ways to get their side or opinion win.

Christian clergy in Kerala are no more those simple, prayerful, pious and humble leaders. Priesthood has become a means of social status, gaining quick money and importance.

Clergy from the Marthoma church are no more reluctant to show off  their affluence. Many of them build palatial houses and buy exotic cars and send their children to foreign destinations for higher education. Often the common people wonder about their sources of income as their officially known incomes cannot sustain such life style that they now have.

A good majority of Marthoma churches in Kerala now do not require much infrastructure as most of them have enough of that in place. Yet several churches are in the process of re-building old church buildings by spending millions. They keep asking the members for more and more donations even while their normal incomes are more than enough to sustain their normal activities.

If history is any indication, wealth and political power had done much tribulations to Christian church members at times they consistently deviated from the principles of love, goodness and God centered human fellowship. While they enjoy the fruits of affluence and good life, they forget Christ and his teachings. Evil anti-Christ becomes their god during those times who leads them cleverly to doom.

Cash rich Marthoma parishes sometimes do some charity work. But they do it with much fanfare. They seldom remember what Jesus taught! Much of their monies are wasted for non charity often.

They do not try to do any good to their own needy fellow members. Church authorities never feel any remorse or shame in demanding unjustified fees and charges for conducting marriages, funeral services for the dead etc. They do not feel it wise and good to reduce the fees of their educational institutions or hospitals even to their own deserving members even when such a gesture is financially viable.

Christians should have been a broadminded community. If so, they can do much, at least for themselves because collective true fellowship is much more powerful and effective than individual efforts. They could have been light bearers to the rest of the peoples and communities. Unfortunately they are now deviating from their true missions and responsibilities. Are they becoming a community for getting ridiculed by others? It is time to think!

Cash rich local church managements can think of planning and implementing health insurance and accident insurance coverage for its members and deserving non members from other communities as well instead of wasting money in demolishing and re-building buildings and structures.

They can think of paying out the educational loans or other loans of members or non-members who really suffer on account of non availability of resources for repayments. 

They can think of reducing their fees and charges for those who deserve it. 

Will they do it?

Will their clergy and bishops repent and be examples of simple and humble living? Will they live to gain true respect and love from their own people and others?

Will they follow Jesus?

Will they move away from acts that are evil and un-Christian?

How long will they continue with their evil ways? Will the silent prayers of the few good people cause any divine intervention for good?
