Indian Child Prodigy Kautilya and the Possible Reasons for Such Phenomena Happening !

Many people are surprised by the extraordinary talent of memorizing that a small kid from Haryana,  the North Indian state of India, is endowed with. The media has reported much about his talents in memorizing facts about geography, economic data, etc at a tender age of  just 5 odd years, an age when normal children around the world just start toiling to memorize the alphabets or some nursery rhymes. 

This boy is Kautilya Pandit, son of One Mr Satish Sharma, a resident of Kohand Village of District Karnal in Haryana State of India. His prowess of memorizing and quick recapitulation has amazed the Indian media and he has been in the media glare for a few months now. Amazed by his abilities, the media has named him 'Google Boy Kautilya'. Other showbiz media such as the Amitab Bacchan Show, Kaun Banega Crorepati or KBC had already showcased  him  in a special episode they aired on 14th October 2013. 

Since some contributors have already taken the task of opening a Wikipedia Page about Kautilya, I am sure that more such information about this boy wonder could be obtained from this site.

Already scientists who observe and study human behavior and mind oddities have started their work on this boy. The psychologists are keen to study his abnormal mind capacities and make their own theories and postulates about such 'minds at mischief' as they have been attempting on many such human geniuses for the past many years.

When some thing extra ordinary happens, some of us are bound to be curious to know more. But let me ask you this. Do you get surprised when your child starts talking fluently for the first time? Many of us, including myself, were puzzled when our children used some language phraseology and words that we thought we never taught them or used in front of them! How is that the children learn languages much quicker while that ability seems to slow down in later years? 

Our scientists while researching on these aspects with due stress on the biological aspects of the brain cells, they regrettably forget one essential thing. That is the simple, but strong evidence of an invisible Super Intelligence behind the design of the complex bio physiology that we observe in our bodies and also in all plant and animal lives.

And we also forget the possibility of our invisible Creative Intelligence responsible for our material lives giving us some invisible super material abilities as well that cannot be easily observed through our microscopes.

While we do not recognize God and His acts in our scientific research, we do recognize and believe in God in our other facet of life that we prefer to identify as our spiritual or religious life. Is it not some kind of a hypocrisy? While we are doing research on all kinds, we are pretty divided and confused over our spiritual convictions and ideas while having strong belief in the same at the same time. Is it not a kind of fallacy? 

I am surprised and also felt happy both at the same time, when almost all the top notch space scientists of India associated with the Mangalyaan Mars Exploration Project  went to pray to their gods in various temples for success in the said space program just before their rocket count down started a couple of days ago. At least these space scientists deep in their hearts recognize the need for God's blessings for their success, though they would not officially acknowledge the same in their scientific reports and papers. But again the reason for that, I think, is because they are not sure of God's nature, characteristics and such other things. What they have in this case are only vague concepts that perhaps they got from their family traditions and belief systems. While they advanced in their space exploration knowledge, they hardly made any progress in their knowledge about God!

Now coming back to our child prodigy's capabilities. Some decades ago, many used to wonder about the extraordinary mathematical prowess of Shakuntala Devi who died a few years ago just as we wonder about this boy now. If we carefully examine our world we could see many such persons having such extra ordinary talents that are not the normal case with other human beings. There could be hundreds of other such cases which are not reported.

But it is nothing very surprising if we know some more details of God and some more details (than what we know traditionally from our religions) about the manner in which God functions not only for us in this earth, but also for the innumerable worlds of the Universe or more appropriately the Universes.

And such details of knowledge about God and His Universe Administration cannot be cooked up by our imaginations. Nevertheless, it is possible for us to know more , if only God Himself is kind enough to reveal more about Him to us. God has been revealing Himself to humans in the past as well. But He had revealed Himself only to the extent that our ancestors were capable of understanding. How he had revealed about Him is yet another matter. There are various means and His means are not limited in any manner.

But we humans are also imaginative and creative, having such qualities in limited manner, that we get from our Invisible Creator. For that matter, all of us have been provided with talents and abilities in varying manner that are required for an evolving world like ours to progress slowly in accordance with the unchanging laws that Our Creator has determined and installed.

But the plans of Our Creator for us are not that we simply live and prosper in this world for some time. It is much more than that. If we know all that we are bound to be amazed, more than we get amazed by observing some super abilities of some among our fold just as we do while observing the Google boy Kautilya.

Some of you who are readers of my posts in these internet blog facility now know that I write many blogs in these columns based on the revealed knowledge that is contained in my favorite book of life guidance now.

The knowledge it contains is fabulous and I am a student of that knowledge. For the time being, this revealed knowledge has not become popular or a study material in any formal way, though some such formal institutions are known as being set up in some advanced countries such as the USA.

With the help of that knowledge, I could possibly explain the reasons for the extra ordinary phenomena that we observe in Kautilya and such other prodigies. 

If I attempt to explain that right away, it would be difficult for many to understand it as such, as they lack certain other fundamentals. So I am not attempting such a misadventure here. 

As I have hinted above, there is an urgent need now for de-compartmentalizing knowledge. Our knowledge in Science, Philosophy and Religion work in water tight compartments. We have been working in that manner for quite some time.

That has to go, if we have to progress further. There is a need for integration of concepts and knowledge.

And that is going to happen slowly in the future, but surely it will happen.

Every new generation of ours will be better than the previous ones in some way.

And that is the real way of God's plans and actions!

And they are all with some purpose! 

Some great purpose that would be amazing to know!     

Water Flows Only to Lower Fields !

During school days, we used to learn our mother tongue Malayalam as a language. The Malayalam language teachers used to teach us the higher levels of the language and its grammatical rules that the ordinary folks never understood or needed for normal verbal interactions.

One of the things that the teachers tried hard to drive home was the use of metaphors, a phrase or a sentence which literally meant something but conveyed some deeper meanings for those who could understand it.

One of these used to be pronounced in Malayalam like this : Thana nilatthe' neerodoo ! [ താണ നിലത്തേ നീരോടൂ !} Literally translated it meant the title of this blog above.

While we were learning these in the lower classes, it appeared as a difficult thing to understand. We were required to write a page or so to explain its hidden meanings in an explicit manner.

Water flows to low lying fields. It is a universal truth observed by humans over the centuries. One can check its scientific validity by conducting experiments.

But the metaphor conveyed a deeper meaning that cannot be so easily proved by experimentation or casual observation.

So this metaphor has some thing more to understand, we were told. Only those who are low in their egos (self importance) can learn new knowledge from those who have already acquired it. In other words, only humble fellows desirous to know more only can enhance their knowledge. Here water is equated to knowledge and lower fields are equated to the ego-less minds.

My life observations for the last many years have made me to realize this much better.

The biggest self realization is the realization of one's own ignorance. If we do not feel the emptiness of some knowledge in our minds, then we are not going to feel the desire to fill that void with additional knowledge.

When our stomachs are full, we do not feel hungry to eat further.

When our mind is full, we cease to have the curiosity and desire to learn more. Our minds then get bloated with the so called high feeling or ego.

Such a situation sets in when a person completes some so-called high qualification degrees or gets in to some higher posts of authority.

At that juncture the mind gets saturated to accept further knowledge due to a self induced mind limit switch.

This kind of a situation not only happens to those of high formal education and those so called high achievers, but also to ordinary beings, students, housewives, workers and just any one.

Then such persons land into the I-know-all syndrome.

When the majority of people are inflicted with this mind disorder the society suffers. This society cannot be taught to discard its foolish preconceived ideas. It ceases to learn from the history and the experiences of others.

The progressive nature of society ceases.

Are we Indians developing such a syndrome ?

A Rare Request From a Friend Tired of Seeking God !

A couple of days ago I got an e-mail from a distant reader of my blogs who resides somewhere in South Africa. He wanted me to tell briefly about the main gist of knowledge that is given in my favorite revelatory truth book on the basis of which I write many of my blogs in this site.

First I feel happy because here I find a person curious to know things and interested in finding God, a thing which is not a priority for a good majority of people.

He admits that he does not like long discourses and want to know  only the essence.

I do not know whether I would be able to make those of his kind satisfied.

Yet let me try.

For the benefit of those of his kind let me reproduce below the essential content of his question first:

"I am tired of reading long lengthy discourses , trying to find GOD. As an indian from  western influence & trying to stay from eastern mysticism whilst @ the same time keeping in mind the heaven & hell reality. Kindly briefly tell me about this knowledge from this book you are talking about."

I replied him the way it came into my mind. I am not sure whether he would be satisfied.

This is what I wrote him:

I am inspired to write blogs based on the Urantia Book. The book is too voluminous. When you are tired of reading lengthy matter, this poses some problem.

The book is authored by many authors who introduce themselves as non-humans or invisible living personalities of celestial orders. When we can have no proof for the existence of such invisible beings non detectable to our material wisdom, it is indeed difficult to believe.

But when you analyse those information from another angle, it is not at all difficult. The grace, quality, authority , knowledge and logics are beyond human intellectual capacity.

Any way I have concluded to believe what the book says it is.

In short what the book says is this:

1. There is an intelligent, first cause who does not have an origin, but who is the cause of creation of every thing in this vast universe, which is a conglomerate of several universes. He is infinite and it is not possible for finite beings like us to comprehend Him. He is the source of everything including Energy, Mind, Matter and Personality. We can consider Him as our Universal Father God. There could be several orders of beings created by Him who are much superior to us. But they are all the children of God and hence we are all linked by a universal brotherhood.

2. We should love our universal father and if that love is genuine we should love all others who are children of the same God.

3. Every living personality in this universe has a job to do. And that job is to do service to others without selfishness and pride so that the universal organization of God progress steadily.

4. God wants us to experience each stage of our lives and enhance our experience and capacities for higher forms of responsibilities. It is not God's will to be static or non-progressive.

5. There is a fragment of God that lives in the minds of all normal human beings whose purpose is to orient us towards our Universal Father God. This fragment being a part of God is the god that lives in us. If we tune our mind to this fragment of God, all of us can know what is good for us so that we live according to the will of God. It is not necessary for us to search God in temples, churches or religious places or do some rituals to please God. Living according to the will of God pleases God.

6. Human form is one of the lowest orders of intelligent living beings who are capable of functioning according to the will of God. Every human being who lives mostly in accordance with the will of God is likely to live in another higher form in another world even after death. He or she does not forgo his personality or memories. In this manner, a human being who is living mostly in accordance with the will of God progresses steadily to higher forms to take up higher and higher responsibilities in the universe. Slowly his material limitations are removed and he or she would gather capabilities similar to celestial beings. These capabilities include immortality, memory power, power to communicate, power to sense other celestial beings and inter world travel at speeds beyond that of light.

And there are trillions of worlds for such an individual to explore in the future ages of his life.

Thus there are many re-births for such a human being. But the teaching, that we will have re-births here on earth again and again as animals or humans, has arisen out of wrong interpretations. Our advanced lives would be in worlds other than our earth and all those (worlds) for us are the heavenly bodies or abodes (for our future adventure)

7. Living according to the will of God does not necessarily mean an error free life. Errors are likely to happen. But we should not will fully and repeatedly do those things that are not approved by our inner self (the godly power within us) If we do that we are doing willfully against the will of God and that is sin.

8. When we keep on living with the least consideration to the will of God, we perhaps live a beastly life like animals. In that case we cease to get a future life after our death. The fragment of god that was within us leaves us and return back to its source (God) without our human personality essence (after our death). In other words we simply cease to exist after death. This (the return of our impersonal self to God)  is what the Hindus errorneously consider as Moksha. The book tells us that what returns back to God in this case is the part of God himself that He had given in our minds and not us. In fact He had given us this gift to ensure that we acquire immortality with our own humanly originated personality.

9. Our special capabilities as humans are nothing of great value for our future survival. If we have such advanced human abilities such as intelligence, wisdom, power, wealth, etc., those will have to be used with care and responsibly for the benefit of others who are not so fortunate (in this stage of life on earth). In other words, special capabilities and privileges might cause elation of our egos to such an extent that we forget to listen to our inner self for doing the will of God !

10. Our prime responsibility is loving God and that means living the way He wants us to live by being unselfishly good to all and also trying to gain useful experiences from our first stage material life. 

I hope you could understand what it means to find God.

Remember, the trials and tribulations of this world are not purposefully made by God, but they keep occuring under the course of progress of our world. There are reasons. You could learn about those reasons and appreciate those when you are ready to receive those reasons fully without any doubts.

Let the god within you illuminate you to live according to the will of God !

Can You Come Out Of Your Suspicions and Anger ?

To doubt or view something suspiciously is quite natural for human beings. But animals are more suspicious than human beings. That is my observation. In other words, people with a higher IQ may not be as suspicious as those of a lower IQ.

People with higher intelligence seem to have certain higher perception levels that make it easier for them to discern falsehoods and realities much faster than others who are not so fortunate in this kind of brain function. So, in ordinary situations they are quicker to overcome fear arising out of unreasonable suspicions.

But to doubt and view strange things suspiciously is a natural behavioural trait found both in animals and humans. But this trait of having suspicion and distrust that is a remnant of human nature which he got from his animal origin should decrease as he evolves into a civilized personality.

The less developed people are more suspicious and fearful than advanced and civilized people. The former kind cannot accept something new or strange or trust others so easily. On the other hand, civilized people do not find much difficulty in this.

My favorite guide book states like this: suspicion is the inherent reaction of primitive men; the survival struggles of the early ages do not naturally breed trust.[Source: Click  here !] 

This book of knowledge from superior sources also informs us that unseen spiritual influences originating from God is responsible for training the underdeveloped human mind to discard unfounded suspicion and to replace it with love and trust which are characteristics of God.

If you had the curiosity to know, you should have clicked the links above to find out more about my favorite book. But if you are of a suspicious nature, you are likely to quit this page as early as possible.

If I further state that the knowledge book that I referred above is not authored by human beings, but by superior celestial beings, you are bound to become more suspicious and quit if not done already.

But if you have maintained reading this much, I should say that you are having a higher degree of curiosity and a lower level of suspicion, both desirable characteristics of progressive human mind.

After coming to know about this superior book of knowledge, which helped me to forgo my fears and anxieties arising out of my ignorance, I learnt to trust and love people, even when they do not reciprocate the same. I realize that their distrust and suspicion are due to their ignorance, just as what I had earlier.

Writing blogs like this is part of my effort to make those, however few their numbers might be, to achieve what I have received. And some of them would be able to achieve more and perpetuate the qualities of trust and love in more and more people. 

That means more and more people would realize the qualities of God, the Supreme Intelligent Creator of everything in the universe who is father of everything or our Universal Father. Trustworthiness and love are those qualities that He wants his children to develop willingly and wholeheartedly.

I feel extremely happy when I see my fellow human beings, men and women, who keep nurturing their desirable qualities of trustworthiness and love to higher levels and do whatever they could to perpetuate that to others.

There are many such lovely human beings in this world who work tirelessly for elevating their ignorant brethren to their levels or even higher. They, perhaps work with their unseen brethren from the celestial realms who support them in tandem.

When the majority of ignorant people waste their brains under the influence of factors of social mobilization such as hunger, pride, conditional love, hate, fear and suspicion that lead to insecurity, bloodshed, war and wealth hoarding, those few individuals try to propagate the values of unconditional love, trust and brotherhood and the futility of the hard efforts they have been ignorantly doing under those animal like behaviours.

Earlier today, I was going through the works done by a group of  intelligent and lovely individuals  who work hard to remove the doubts and suspicions in the minds of those who summarily reject the contents of my favorite book as a fraudulent fiction. Their efforts to educate those at ignorant levels are given in this document which is part of their website called UBtheNews. For those of the scientifically and spiritually curious nature reading their findings in their web site is highly rewarding.

The other day, a net friend from the other side of the globe gave me the link of a website that contains the enthusiastic feelings of a young lady from South India who began to realize the meanings of God's love through some contents of the Urantia Book, which is my guide book that I referred above. This young Indian lady prefers to be known as Angel and I am moved by her biography. Some of you might feel the same way. This one what she said is that I also experienced: " I learned how to control anger, how to forgive my brother and sister, how to be quiet when I heard something that compelled me to explode"

Indian Railways-Some Suggestions for Improvements from a Passenger !

Ever since I moved out of my home state Kerala some time in 1978, I have been a user of the long distance travel facility provided by the Indian Railways- the largest service facility directly run by the Government of India other than the defence services.

Though many monopolistic government run businesses and services  in the fields of air travel, telecommunication, courier services, mass communication, mining and manufacturing, etc got corporatized and privatized in the recent past, the railway system mostly remained directly in the hands of the government. Corporate entities like the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) etc  have been formed in the recent years by the Ministry of Railways which has allowed some functions to be carried out as corporate business. Even companies like the Konkan Railway and the Delhi Metro Rail doing the business of trail transport service in select sectors have come up as separate entities under the administrative control of the Railway Ministry, which shows the shift in the policy shift of the government in this context.

Beyond that, the government seems direction less with regard to the policy to be adopted with regard to this essential public service system. The result is that the railway system continues to be run as a government department with its inherent advantages and disadvantages. Again such directionless policies are bound to get evolved in a democratic country having a population of uneven development. So, there is no point in criticising the government and I am not doing that.

A user of the railways need not be worried about the ownership and the management control of this organization so far it continues to provide the services befitting to the time and the aspirations of the public.

If run efficiently like a business entity, the Indian railway system would perhaps be the largest business opportunity in India. The moot question is the big if.

How can you bring about quick business like decision making in a mammoth organization which is run on the basis rules and administrative systems essentially made for public accountability rather than public benefit and overall sustainability ?

As a user of the system for the last more than three decades, I can say this for sure. The railway system has become more and more centralized now. The railway officers in local areas seems powerless in resolving common problems of the passengers now, which was not the case some decades ago. Of course we need not be worried about how the railways do their management and administration, provided they do it well.

The Indian public uses the railways for both long distance travel involving monotonous sitting or sleeping having a time span of 3-60 hours and for short distance travel involving sitting or standing for time spans as short as10 Minutes to as long as 6 hours. The requirements of the passengers in the short distance and long distance cases are different.

For all travellers, what is most important is the comfort with respect of sitting, sleeping, cleanness, catering, safety, security, communication, smoothness, speed, booking convenience, costs and of course a comfortable cabin ambiance.

Indian railways are used by poor and rich people alike. There are thousands who can afford to pay reasonable costs for a comfortable travel. That is the great business opportunity for the Railways. 

The problem with the Indian Railways is that the decisions for starting rail services are more political than based on professional assessments. This results in uneven and unscientific distribution of the services which causes great losses to the organisation and discomfort to the public both at the same time.

One of the greatest weakness of the railway management system is its reluctance to use modern computerized ticket reservation systems which ensures highest occupancy of the available berths and seats. It is a common fact that no one can think of getting a reservation in any trains in most of the routes in a short span due to the inherent lacunae in the reservation system.

As a rail passenger I have come across many instances in my own personal experience when the railway reservation system showed non availability of berths and seats while the actual situation in the same train was with an occupancy rate of even less than 50% for more than 50% of the travel distance.

In reality most of the trains are running empty for most of the time in the year while thousands are waiting for reservations !

In this context, I remember a case of travel by a state road transport bus service in the state of Andhra Pradesh two decades ago, when computerisation was just in the initial stages. I went to reserve a ticket for a travel from Vijayawada to Ramagundam. The reservation clerk at the Vijayawada Bus Station showed me the seating system of the bus on his computer terminal with the seats that are available for my travel. I gave my choice and he issued me the reserved tickets for the travel by a particular state road transport bus later in the day.

I thought that bus would be starting from there. But to my surprise I saw the bus reaching the station from another town with lot of passengers. When the bus arrived, the seats reserved for me too were occupied and I was a bit worried. But to my relief, soon those passengers occupying my seats alighted there and I got the seats reserved for without any problem. Again the bus started from there with full occupancy !

All these years I was wondering, why our railways were not in a position to do such kind of a reservation system ?

To my simple logic it seems that they have just got satisfied with the computerization of the seat or berth quota system that used to be there before computerization ! If some one books a berth from Vijayawada to Ramagundam on a train in the route, then no one can perhaps reserve the berth or seat from Ramagundam to say Nagpur even when the seat would be physically vacant as the earlier passenger has alighted the train.

For those in the knowledge of computers, this is not at all a difficult thing to implement. Somehow, the railway mandarins seem not at all comfortable to implement such an easy modification which would benefit both the railways and the passengers.

If the huge extra earning potential of the Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTE) of the railways is the main concern, then of course no one can perhaps think of implementing such things. Rail users like me, are at a loss to understand the logic of the railway management in this !

Many trains with latest comforts are run between awkward stations and at awkward times that they mostly run as show pieces while thousands suffer incapable of using those trains. I do not want to name those trains. People know it. The only logic of running those trains seems ego satisfaction of some local politicians !

This was some random thoughts that just came into my mind on the day the railway budget of India was getting presented on the Lok Sabha by the Railway Minister belonging to one of the political parties of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.

I haven't gone through the details of the budget which was presented and I do not want to do that. But something remarkable has just happened.

The Railway Minister's own party has disowned his budget. His party chief became so annoyed that the party has asked for his removal. The head of the coalition has to just fall in line, even when they all are in praise of the policies that are presented in the said budget by this minister.

It is no surprise ! That is the way this country is evolving !

You just cannot dream of having good management systems and governance in a country which is in its infancy state of development and initial stages of experimentation with democracy.
I know there could be thousands of learned and knowledgeable persons in this country of over a billion. But their views are minority voices.

Minority voices do not have the power to make changes, unless they occupy the 'trump-card' position by accidents of time !

So is the case with the Indian Railways.

There are thousand and one ways that this organization is moulded in to one of the best in the world.

There could be scores of good managers , administrators and professionals in the Indian railway organization who knows the ways and means of doing that.

But that is of no use in a democratically evolving set up like this for the time being.

To be a knowledgeable and competent person among a majority that has not reached that state of mind capacity indeed is a painful thing !

So why to give suggestions for improving the railways now ?

Should I reserve it for the opportunistic moment of the future, if at all it comes ?

Even so, let me write down some of those suggestions the railway authorities could keep in mind for implementing if they ever feel doing some thing for improving the great Indian railways :

1. Do some real surveys to find out those loss making train services and take actions not to put the best and brand new coaches for those services. Use the brand new coaches for the long distance trains only as a policy.

2. Lease out some railway space in all railway stations in major cities and towns where private players can set up decent traveller accommodations for genuine passengers who reserve their journey in advance for a comfortable stay for periods not exceeding one or two days. The rooms so provided shall be neat, clean and preferrably with air conditioning or fans and with clean toilets. Star rated luxuries are not what the passengers need, but reasonable neatness, comforts, safety and affordability. Their should be provisions for booking such accommodations in advance while the tickets are booked. Presently many stations have retiring rooms maintained directly by the railway employees. They keep the most ridiculous type of staff to look after these at present who have no manners or courtsey. More over in many crowded stations, such rooms are perennially not available for genuine passengers. If this facility is available, many long distant travellers could conveniently break their tiring train journey enroute to take a refreshing break in some other cities and towns and continue their journeys comfortably in other short distance trains. If the railway managers use their brains properly, they can very well do it in the most beneficial manner for both the railways and the passengers.

3. Raiway can think of implementing the system of 'registered baggage handling' facility for the long distance travel for main sectors of travel just as the airlines are doing. For example for those reserved a/c class passengers travelling between Delhi and Mumbai shall have their registered baggages handed over to the baggage handlers at Delhi and take them back at Mumbai from the baggage office. The railway may fix the type of baggage the passengers are required to carry for this purpose and the maximum number of pieces and their weights. They may also charge a fee for excess baggage. There should be one secured baggage coach in all long distance trains. This service could also be entrusted to private players ensuring proper quality. This would reduce the mad rush in the stations. The railways should also ensure availability of porters for carrying and loading luggage of the passengers and a facility to avail these services with advance booking.

4. Make all long distance trains with air conditioned class only. The system of allotment of seats berths shall be based on the distance travelled rather than the preferrence of the passengers. For example all passengers travelling day time for less than 8 hours shall be booked only on chair car. Those travelling 8-24 hours shall be on a/c 3-tier coaches. Those travelling more than 24 hours shall be on a/c 2-tier coaches. The air conditioned first class  services shall be totally eliminated and such coaches shall be available only on special tourist services or for official purposes. The number of each category of coaches shall be based on the passenger demand as analysed by past history.

5. Non-a/c coaches shall be limited short distance travel trains which run less than a day. If possible such trains shall be run only in those regions where the temperatures do not exceed 32 degrees celcius.

6. Make all long distance a/c coach trains with catering charges included in the cost of travel just as now being done for Rajdhani and Shadabdi type train services. This will eliminate passengers to travel with lighter luggage avoiding those filled with all kinds of eatables. This will also reduce the influx of all kinds of vendors in the coaches disturbing the passengers.

7. There should be announcements for the passengers regarding the approaching stations and the time of halt, delays etc in all the coaches. It is not a difficult thing to implement for the railways if the want to do this. It should be a mandatory service. Though this is available now in Rajdhani and Shadabdi trains, it is not strictly followed by those responsible for implementing this without fail.

8. The Indian railways is a mammoth organization. Centralization of authority for each and every thing would cause serious damage and the local railway officers showing their helplessness to deal with the genuine grievances of the passengers. Railways should provide adequate powers for their officers who are to face the public and notify those officers, their contact details and their powers for decision making. It is quite natural that the ministers, being public representatives, liking to grab all powers of decision making. But they should remember that unless they delegate their powers effectively they would become laughing stock in the eyes of the public whose position do not show any results of effective management !

The Urantia Book- A Brief by a Fascinated Indian Admirer !

The Urantia Book is a fabulous book comprising of a Foreword followed by 196 subject papers depicting various topics covering the controlled creation and evolution of the universes, the stellar and planetary bodies, life, living worlds like earth, intelligence, religion , science, philosophy and spirituality, life after death, life in non-material forms, spirits and angels, God and deities, nature, atributes and qualities of God, our relationship to God, the purpose of life and all such things about which human beings have been curious to know for generations and for which no satisfactory answers have been forthcoming.

The book is indeed very voluminous. It has over 2200 pages. It is written originally in English and first printed in the year 1955.

The Urantia Book explains in detail the great saga of creation of the Universes under the Supreme governence of the First Source and Centre called the Universal Father God who is Infinite beyond time and space. This Universal Father God is the source for everything in this vast grand Universe, whether living or non-living, seen or unseen, finite or infinite, perfect or imperfect and He is the Creator and the Benevelant Maintainer of all that He has been creating.

What is the process, principles, routines and the systems by which He does these activities ? To understand that is something beyond the capacity of finite mortal minds such as that of the human beings. However, this loving God also strives to make His creations towards perfection, power and goodness as He is, by various plans that He finds most appropriate.

The intelligence and the thinking power that we have are the gifts of God, so also are all other things we have. They are the 'talents' that He has endowed with us. He wants us to use these 'talents' and strive to enhance those inorder to achieve experiential wisdom and knowledge.

The Urantia Book tells us the details of God's plans, methods and policies about the creation and development of the millions and millions of worlds in the Grand Universe that came into existence due to Him or are still evolving. The depiction of the knolwedge is limited to our present day capacity to assimilate that. He wants us to use our intelligence to analyse and accept Him as our Unseen Creator Father and reciprocate His love by chosing a living that is in accordance with His plans, even when we are not in a position to see Him.

The Urantia Book does not contradict the present day religions, philosophy or science. It only tries to polish the concepts with divine wisdom commensurate with modern day knowledge that has been acquired by human beings.

The Book gives a great assurance to human beings about the wonderful and adventurous life after death after the initial few years of material life on urantia ( Urantia = the name given to identify our world, earth )

Urantia Book gives us an authentic picture of the history of earth and the mankind, beyond our present day historical or geographical knowledge, which otherwise we should have possessed. It tells us the background in which we had lost the culture, civilizations and historical truths about our home planet earth and reminds us about the existence of great civilisations that existed thousands of years earlier but lost track of those.

This marvellous book tells us about the development of religions and the fundamental reasons for evolution of religious beliefs and systems on earth. It narrates the evolution of the present day religions of Hindus, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Saurastrians, Parsis, Budhists, Jains, Sikhs and the Tribal animists and the fundamental guiding force behind the development of religious concepts and desire in the human mind.

The Book tells us about the wonderful spiritual gift of God to the minds of men and women of the worlds recognized by most religionists of the earth. The Indians recognized its existence and called this the 'Antar-atma' or soul or 'Mana-sakshi'. The Urantia Book defines and gives the authentic details of this fragment of God that resides in human beings as the Thought Adjuster or Thought Controller or Mystery Monitor and tells us in detail about the nature and purpose of this gift from God.

According to the Urantia Book, all human beings are brothers and sisters by virtue of the Fatherhood of the Creator God and should reflect God's prime character of Love in our actions and deeds for our spiritual and eternal development.

God wants us to be good, kind and compassionate to make our world of material origin a better place to live, for all of us, during our short lives as materially made mortals. He wants us to  learn experientially to develop as important personalities with good qualities driven by compassion, love, goodness , courage and knowledge capable of assuming higher responsibilites that he may assign us from time to time in our material life here on earth as well as on the lives that are awaiting us as a potential reward, in an everlasting and endless career even after our earthly bodies gets destroyed after our physical death here on our starting planet, Urantia or Earth as we know it. All those who lived according to the guidance of the inner consciousness or Thought Adjuster are going to have a glorious future life full of adventure and enriching experiences to transform as glorious finaliter personalities with capability and power to be in the presence of our Father God and to further live as His sons with some administrative authorities or functions to carry out in the worlds that are in the process of making in some future time.

The exact authorship of the book is a matter of debate. But the authors of the various subject papers of the Book either introduce themselves or give us some information about them. They tell that they are not of our mortal order or humans but are invisible but real divine personalities of various orders. This is something unbelievable to most people. But the content and presentation of the book vouch for its supernatural origin. Humans cannot have written or revealed such knowledge. Atleast this is the view expressed by many learned men who attempted to read this wonderful book. I myself, having studied the book in great detail have come to that conclusion. Human beings just cannot have this kind of ability to write such a book which is a huge knowledge compilation fortified with invaluable pieces of revealed knowledge from superior minds!

Their Reality and Our Reality !

I am a design engineer by profession. I consider it a very difficult profession. To be a good designer you have to learn a lot, experience a lot and then think a lot. All these activities are not so palatable for those who want to enjoy life without using their brains.

Whenever I find difficulty visualizing the complexities involved in making some designs come true, a thought comes to my mind. That is about those designers who visualized the designs of the most complex things that we ever can imagine !

Yes, I am referring to the material life forms that we see all around us. It encompasses every form of material life around us, including us.

I often try to think of a better design than what I observe in the design of my own body. No, I am not at all capable of doing that. A big 'Pranam' to those great designers!

But I cannot visualize them. I cannot see them. But my mind tells that they are real. Because no complex design is ever possible without the application of intelligent mind!

So my mind can recognise the reality of existence of superior intelligences that designed all these marvellous designs that we see in out material world.

As I cann't understand and visualize these intelligences, shall I simply say it is God, just as you all are saying. Oh, it is God and we cannot understand that. God is just beyond our comprehension. Why waste time and energy to think of something that we just cannot comprehend?

Any way we have been told to prostate ourselves before God. And we have been doing that.

But yet some curiosity and doubt about God and His ways. Is He alone ? How does He function ? Is He just commanding to create things just out of nothing like a magician ?

Does He have an organization of intelligent personalities doing the work for Him without we ever directly knowing about it?

Oh ! My God! Tell us whether you are a reality just as we think we are realities.

Those so called spiritual leaders and saints say that you are a reality. They also make money by teaching us that you teach them in secret.

But Oh God ! Are you a reality ? Do you understand our languages ? Do you understand our science and technology? Do you understand Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ? Have you ever told our spiritual leaders about these things ?

I recently read a book supposedly written by unseen intelligent personalities from your side. There are too many authors, supposedly experts in various fields of knowledge.

Being a designer myself in the material realm, I am overwhelmed when one of the invisible authors of this book wrote about the work of artisans who work for you in the realms that are not discernable to us now.

Let me reproduce some of which this particualar author wrote:

"All these activities of the morontia and spirit worlds are real. To spirit beings the spirit world is a reality. To us the material world is the more unreal. The higher forms of spirits freely pass through ordinary matter. High spirits are reactive to nothing material excepting certain of the basic energies. To material beings the spirit world is more or less unreal; to spirit beings the material world is almost entirely unreal, being merely a shadow of the substance of spirit realities.

"I cannot, with exclusive spirit vision, perceive the building in which this narrative is being translated and recorded. A Divine Counselor from Uversa who chances to stand by my side perceives still less of these purely material creations. We discern how these material structures appear to you by viewing a spirit counterpart presented to our minds by one of our attending energy transformers. This material building is not exactly real to me, a spirit being, but it is, of course, very real and very serviceable to material mortals.

"There are certain types of beings who are capable of discerning the reality of the creatures of both the spirit and the material worlds. Belonging to this class are the so-called fourth creatures of the Havona Servitals and the fourth creatures of the conciliators. The angels of time and space are endowed with the ability to discern both spirit and material beings as also are the ascending mortals subsequent to deliverance from the life in the flesh. After attainment of the higher spirit levels the ascenders are able to recognize material, morontia, and spirit realities.

"There is also here with me a Mighty Messenger from Uversa, an ascendant Adjuster-fused, onetime mortal being, and he perceives you as you are, and at the same time he visualizes the Solitary Messenger, the supernaphim, and other celestial beings present. Never in your long ascendancy will you lose the power to recognize your associates of former existences. Always, as you ascend inward in the scale of life, will you retain the ability to recognize and fraternize with the fellow beings of your previous and lower levels of experience. Each new translation or resurrection will add one more group of spirit beings to your vision range without in the least depriving you of the ability to recognize your friends and fellows of former estates.

"But I almost despair of being able to convey to the material mind the nature of the work of the celestial artisans. I am under the necessity of constantly perverting thought and distorting language in an effort to unfold to the mortal mind the reality of these morontia transactions and near-spirit phenomena. Your comprehension is incapable of grasping, and your language is inadequate for conveying, the meaning, value, and relationship of these semispirit activities. And I proceed with this effort to enlighten the human mind concerning these realities with the full understanding of the utter impossibility of my being very successful in such an undertaking.

It seems to me Oh God, that you have undertaken some efforts to tell us about your ways now as we understand it in this 21st century. Many of the terms that the author has written are never heard by us before !

The author who wrote the above must be a reality as he talks with so much confidence and trying to talk about their realities and our realities inorder that we in our reality try to understand it.

But it will take most of us much time to come out of what our spiritual leaders have been teaching us all these ages. According to them, you just cannot teach us realities. At the most about Maya, illusions and about the abstract spirituality are that we can learn from you. That is what our enlightened spiritual leaders say.

Those who are not in their spell are few in numbers, O God !
